It s time to start the German football again.

I ll present my picks and write ups in the usual manner as I did for the last years.<o></o>
For those who are new here for this season:
All my plays are to risk one unit if not stated otherwise. My occasional big plays are to risk two units.<o></o>
I ll keep a total record for my German plays, but will split it into 1. Bundesliga, 2. Bundesliga and Regionalliga.<o></o>
My goal for the season is, as usual +20 units, which I exceed for the last 5 seasons.<o></o>
<o> </o>
1. Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga will start on Friday, but Regionalliga has already started last weekend. So I had a first look at the teams.<o></o>
<o> </o>
Today it continues with a couple of nice games.<o></o>
<o> </o>
Tuesday:<o></o>
<o> </o>
Regionalliga Nord:<o></o>
<o> </o>
Ahlen- Erfurt: <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:smarttags" /><st1:City><st1lace>Ahlen</st1lace></st1:City> -0.5 @ 1.85<o></o>
<o></o>
<st1:City><st1lace>Ahlen</st1lace></st1:City> got relegated from 2. bundesliga, but are again in the group of pre-season favourites to promote. They have proven that by getting a 3-0 away win over also highly considered Düsseldorf on the weekend. This should have been a great boost for the team to get right in the promotion race from the beginning.<o></o>
<st1:City><st1lace>Erfurt</st1lace></st1:City> won also 1-0 at home, but were a bit lucky and had not a very good opposing side. Their strength over the last years was at home and not away. So I think this should be a fairly easy win by the better team supported by additional home advantage.<o></o>
<o> </o>
Osnabrück- Düsseldorf: Düsseldorf +0.5 @ 2.02
<o> </o>
Osnabrück had a bye week to start the season so there is no proven experience from last weekend, but from all I can read and see they are to be expected to finish between 5th and 8th place. Which means they will be a solid team as over the last teams, but not particular strong.<o></o>
Düsseldorf on the other hand is one of 5 teams I strongly expect to play for promotion. They have a big history (even won the UEFA-CUP in the late 70’s) got into financial trouble, but have build up a solid team again. They started with a disappointing 0-3 home loss to <st1:City><st1lace>Ahlen</st1lace></st1:City>. But that gives us only great value here today. They dominated <st1:City><st1lace>Ahlen</st1lace></st1:City> in the first half, but lost then by running into fast breaks in the second half. So it was not a bad performance and they should bounce back today and get at least a draw. To have already one serious game under the belt should also proof as an advantage for them.<o></o>
<o> </o>
Regionalliga Süd<o></o>
<o></o>
Saarbrücken- Darmstadt: Saarbrücken -0.5 @ 1.85<o></o>
<o> </o>
I don’t quite understand the line here.<o></o>
<o> </o>
Saarbrücken is one of the favourites to promote and they started with a away win at strong <st1:City><st1lace>Ingolstadt</st1lace></st1:City>. Today they are playing <st1:City><st1lace>Darmstadt</st1lace></st1:City>, which disappointed in the first game by loosing at home against a weaker team. <st1:City><st1lace>Darmstadt</st1lace></st1:City> is expected to be in the mids of the table. They might have the potential for some upsets, but are not particularly strong.<o></o>
So I go with the much better team at home which also seems to click already early in the season.<o></o>
